Last updated: July 2026
Overview
Linbox LinkedIn Session ("the Extension") is a Chrome extension that connects your browser to the Linbox platform (runlinbox.com). It captures your LinkedIn browser session and sends it to Linbox API so Linbox can perform LinkedIn inbox tasks on your behalf within rate limits you configure.
What data the extension collects
When you connect an account or manually push a session, the Extension may collect:
- LinkedIn cookies (including authentication cookies such as li_at)
- Browser metadata (user agent, language, timezone, viewport size, client hints)
- LinkedIn page localStorage and sessionStorage from the active LinkedIn tab
- Tab and window metadata (URL, title, dimensions)
What data the extension stores locally
The Extension stores in chrome.storage:
- Linbox API base URL
- Plugin authentication token linked to your Linbox account
What data the extension does not collect
- General browsing history outside LinkedIn and Linbox domains
- Passwords or payment information
- Data from websites unrelated to the Linbox connection flow
How data is used
Session data is transmitted to Linbox API (api.runlinbox.com) over HTTPS. It is used solely to authenticate and operate your LinkedIn account within Linbox. Data is not sold to third parties.
Data retention
Session snapshots are stored on Linbox servers as part of your account configuration. You can revoke access by reconnecting or deactivating the account in the Linbox dashboard.
Security
- Communication with Linbox API uses HTTPS
- Plugin tokens can be revoked by issuing a new connection code
- The Extension runs session capture only when you initiate connect or manual push
